Foundation Brake Trainer

Description

A fully functioning air drum brake foundation trainer.

Your fingers are the air system, so with this setup you can release the spring applied parking brake, and apply the spring released service brake. The brake chamber also includes a caging bolts and means to cage the emergency piston. The service and emergency pistons are colour coded to match typical highway truck design.

The service piston pushes on the pushrod, moves the slack adjuster to a 90° angle (which can be misadjusted for a talking point with students), which turns the s-cam, and expands the shoes into the drum.
