Differential Trainer

Description

A fully functional differential with spider gears, side gears, a 4.1:1 ratio crown and pinion, and an operational manual locker.
With this trainer you can highlight the relationship between side gears and spider gears, explain why in a spinout condition that axle is spinning twice as fast as normal, show how highway truck differentials typically lock, and the gear ratio between all gears involved!
Crank the green handle, hold on to a red ‘axle shaft’, and see the operation of a differential at your fingertips. Next, slide in the blue locker and feel the difference.
